OK so this isn't as segmented as some that I have posted but you don't have to dress up perfection that much. This piece of Curly Koa is just beautiful on its own so just a little but of maple sets it off nicely.
Camelthorn with brass segmenting and padauk accents
I had never heard of camelthorn before but saw a blank at the local wood store. I would definitely turn it again. Beautiful wood!
Working in brass was a challenge since it is so much harder than aluminum.
I tried segmenting again today. The first one was not very good. So I learned from that one and made this one from the leftovers of the last segment pen.

So here is the first Emperor group purchase pen. I made the main pen from Quilted Maple and added to the cap a red heart celtic knot in the center and ends and white black white pick guard rings. Knot cut on my band saw.
