This pen is made from some of Dario's Philippine Persimmons , thanks Dario I love this stuff . Some of Ed's Alternative Ivory , Thanks Ed , and one of Lou's Flex Nibs , Thanks Lou I need to order some more Nibs . I ain't takin no chances :biggrin: and some Brass bits I had laying around :rolleyes: .

Alright, Hank is giving all kinds of excuses,, so I guess I'LL have to represent from the land of the rising sun. Here is a pen with perhaps THE most difficult finish in the world..urushi. It's Japanese sakura with 10 layers of seshimi lacquer and two final coats of roiro for the shine. Each stage is polished with several different coarses of whetted sumi and the final coats are hand rubbed out with powdered deer horn.

Also, it is stealthily designed for a quick change insert of a razor sharp samurai blade for any of you loud mouths that want to try to disturb my "chi".
Don't test me cause I'll yin your yang!!

That's OK. Yours is the only one I can't think of anything bad to say about it. I need more entries, I haven't run out of insults yet, but I can only insult those that truly deserve it :tongue:

I would love to get in on this but i screwed up i gave my wife a new kitchen for Valetines day (easy way to get new tools and a new 47 LCD flatscreen) so i have not been able to make any pens in the last 3 weeks. :wink::wink:

Maybe not, Bruce! Someone said this pen is a little phallic on the other end. Some here think I am a d-head so maybe that is why Jeff gave me that title!
 
OK you pen turning wannabee's, I been watching this thread and decided it needs a real pen, one that does not need to gently held for fear of breaking it. I also chose a "kit" pen because looking at the sad excuses for kitless bottom dwelling and second grade scrap iron "works", this "Elegant" pen will stand out from all the other "crap" posted. I give you the home cast carbon fiber elegant sierra.

Well it might be OK, but I can't really tell. One image is overexposed and the other is so washed out I can barely tell there's a pen in it. I don't recommend cheap tacky plastic lace tablecloths as an ideal background either.

None from the sleeping sod…although he did have the good sense to use Heritance nibs!
Cartoon characters never win…unless maybe it's Little Annie Fannie.
Stafford County never wins at anything.
A scimitar and a crown? Just what kind of history do they teach in Henrico County?
Alternate ivory and a Heritance nib can't save that persimmon billy club.
Pods? I saw better in "Night of the Living Dead!
A Sierra and an Imperial in the same photo gets disqualified for having no taste.
The used tampon inserter needs to find a hazardous waster disposal container.
Poop is poop. I don't care how "hep" the cat is.
And the best looking CF pen is only in 1 picture and, therefore, disqualified!

Russell, if ya hadn't sucked air so hard it blurred your vision when ya saw what a sierra was supposed to look like, the pics would look just fine.

And Lou, you do realize that you entered the wrong pen, but wait, if this is your latest entry, then I just may have some competition. Good thinking. BTW, awesome choice of blanks.
