You know what is cool about this thread? The fact as there are many different types and personalities when it comes to turning. There are vendors who match up with those personalities.
I don't think I have ordered from AS but maybe once. And my issue is that I don't really get his website. But that is my problem, not his. That is clear to me.
I think we would all agree that Bill, Ed, Ernie, Johnny, etc, etc all have different business personalities. And I tend to gravitate towards the ones that are most like me... but everyone isn't like me.
Maybe there should be a sticky with a list a vendors, and a tightly monitored/regulated place for responding to pros and cons (so as to not unjustly cast a bad light on a vendor). For instance. AS- Quality kits, great hard to find woods, informative videos but you need to know he has hard and fast rules on returns and missing parts so familiarize yourself with the rules then inspect your package well and quickly. Just a thought.
