Working on a simple pen holder. I used the hammer method to remove the bark...How you skin the rest? Potato type peeler, hunting knife or good quality folder? Thank you..

I would just file it with a medium flat bastard file or sand it with 80 grit Abranet .

Any fish glove would work. I can't remember which is in my kit. I'd take a picture for you but it's in storage. You can find plenty for around $10 on the A site.

Any idea where I can get the black U shaped piece...(it is threaded but the thread is not necessary). The black is a vinyl coating. Would like to use them on the wood branch piece for a pen holder. Thanks
