I still don't understand why the glue stays fluid when exposed to the air.

The reason is simple. There are no solvents in CA. The other glues dry because the solvent evaporates, CA doesn't have any so it just sits and waits for a catalyst like water or BLO or cotton. Squirt a bunch of thin CA on a cotton rag and watch the smoke. :eek: :cool: If you have ever wiped the tip off on your old t-shirt you will know what I mean. It's called an exothermic reaction.
