I purchased many Brooks blanks 10-12 years ago. I matched this one with a Smitty Jr. Gent I. Changed out the finial to match the blank. The vertical pours are fun as it can be so different as you turn it down.

Jonathon did/maybe still does great pours. I have always been partial to custom finials - a short learning curve, but the visual element is wonderful. This is an excellent finished pen - well done. 👏 👏 👏

Beautiful pen! Lovely finish and complimenting finial! The color is really vivid when matched with your choice of kit.

Well done! The finial sure makes a difference in the overall appearance, taking it to another level.

Jonathan has always made great looking blanks. He was one of the early casters doing vertical blanks. He has his one site now.. Carolina Pen Co.

Great pen!! Love the blank!

Jonathan is a long time blank caster - and is one of the hosts of the podcast 'As the Pen Turns', joining two other penmakers (Jason Neil & Brad Owens). They are fun and educational to listen to as they continue a tradition of sharing how they create great pens! I enjoy their show a lot and recommend listening.
