Is anyone else having a problem with this site slow loading. I can not get this site to perform as usually it does. It loads very slow and any forum here does too. It is frustrating to say the lease. if I am the only one what can I do to check into this. No other site I go to on my computer is having the same problem. I zip around as usual. Thanks.

Not right now but i regularly get DNS problems where penturners.org will not load at all due to it can't be found on the face of the internet as far as my ISP is concerned.

Well I am going to have to step away for a few days or something until this corrects itself or doesn't. I can not deal with this. pages do not load, takes forever to load. I got a PM from someone that I can not open so forgive me. Hope it is not important. I will check back in in a few days and see if things get better. This just happened yesterday. I did nothing different and as I said no other site is giving me a problem. By the way I cleared history. I logged out and back in here. I cleared cookies. Same thing.

Nothing is working. Empty Cache, cookies, history, tried new browser. Have no problems on any other site. This is the first time like this here. I did not different than I always do. Many times here it does not even load the page. I waited for 10 minutes to get this far to see if any answers helped. I am back on Google Chrome. I maybe done here for ever. I can not operate like this.

I have an AOL account and now I have to sign in every time I open it. It use to go right to mail. Any sight that has the keep me signed in is now not working. I have to sig into all of them. Any help with that?? All this overnight.

John; If you have problems, the first thing to do is run an anti-virus scan of your PC. MalWareBytes is a good one and has a free option. It will tell you if you have a virus or other mal-ware. You will need the paid version to clean the offensive software from your machine.

One final option is to unplug (NOT turn off, UNPLUG) your Internet Router and your computer. Leave them off for about 20 minutes then plug them back in. Router first, wait 5 minutes, then computer.

I will send you a PM.

Techy-Dweeb: Web site names are kept on a set of internet servers called DNS. This is a cross reference that has the actual internet address of internet machines and their matching NAME. Whenever your machine asks to connect to say "penturners.org" the DNS server will send your machine the actual Internet Address like "192.168.1.10" (fake address). These machines routinely sync with each other sharing changes to the list. ISPs like AOL, Verizon, Comcast sometime have their own copies of the DNS list. If the list is wrong or corrupt it can take several days to correct itself.

Are you using any type of add and/or popup blocking software or plugin?

Just a note, I have several privacy apps in use and none seem to affect functionality here. The IAP is one of the least onerous sites around with only 1 ad and 2 cookies (after login).
  • Canvas Fingerprint Defender
  • Ghostery Cookie blocker
  • Adblocker
  • ALL 3rd party cookies blocked

Shopify sites, on the other hand, that use Shopify login instead of website login are really bad with dozens of cookies and other invasive trackers that are specifically stated to be shared with the world of online advertisers.

IAP is the only website that seems to have spells of 'not found' or DNS issues. My ISP requires their full control of the router and DNS servers being used.

www.penturners.org seems to be much quicker than
penturners.org

I never type WWW
