I'd like to thank those who helped me with the door prizes for our meeting. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

I have also added some other items to the door prizes from my personal stash of blanks .

I also recently received an order from Newlondon88. He gave me some pen stands and stuff that will be donated as door prizes. Sorry I didnt get a picture of these as they are still wrapped up with the protective coating!

So Thanks NewLondon !!

Looking forward to the meeting tomorrow...
Or I could just run off with all these goodies....:biggrin::eek:

I didn't think I was asked to get anything. If some thing is needed, I can run to the store or call or text me at 214-769-8236 and I will grab something.

I'm bringing RhinoPlastic, casting supplies and wood stabilization equiment and supplies.

Well I hate to bug out on anything but I'm going to have to pass today. The roofers decided late yesterday that they were going to work through the weekend and I also have the cabinet maker and countertop guy coming for rough measurements.
I had said this before, but after the house is done, and I have the shop set up, I'll host an all day come-and-go meeting and shop day and will furnish everything.
Seamus, I know you'll likely to give me grief on this  and will want picture proof, so I've included a few.
I've gone from a 30 x 40 shop to converting 2 bays of the garage to my shop. Later on when funds allow, I'll have another stand alone shop that will fit my needs better.
Again, sorry I couldn't make it and meet you guys, but life gets in the way.

Well, we just made it home about half an hour ago! What a blast! My pleasure meeting all of you and many thanks to Mike and Jann for being such great hosts!
I hope next time to be more prepared for the demos, I look forward to future meetings and hopefully making this a regular thing every quarter! NO PUN INTENDED

and to Roger for the CHOCOLATE CHIP OREO COOKIES!!!

Tom

Yep. Lots of good info and fellowship. But Roger shouldn't get any credit for the cookies! Props to my teenage daughter for doing those for us! :)

Thank you Tom for organizing the meeting. And to Mike for the burgers and hospitality.

I enjoyed meeting everyone and putting a face with a name. Tomorrow I'll turn some of the cool blanks I brought home!

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!

Pictures....

I had a great time! Mike is a great host and I appreciate his hospitality.

Those of you that did not make it missed the "tutorials" on how to CA your wife to various things in addition to the pen making tutorials.

As you can see from the "audience" in the first picture, even the cartoon's enjoyed the tutorials.

First off I'd like to apologize for the delay in getting things posted. Things have been hectic for us. We are in the middle of our youngest moving out and going to college. Lots of running around shopping, back and forth to college getting things situated.

I also have been a little under the weather which has caused me to have several dr appts. (feeling better now)

Here are a few more photos from the meeting.

From the stabilization demo. I missed most of this demo :frown:

More to come!

More photos.

Seamus (Seamus7227) during his cartridge demo.

Note: I still think my plan on having him donate a state quarter blank to every member would have been an excellent initiation. Heck I was even willing to replace the quarters....

In all seriousness, thanks for the demo. Even if I left completely befuddled lol which was not your fault, sometimes I just catch on slow.

Here is a group shot.

I would like to thank Mike (brez) for hosting the meeting. It was a pleasure to meet you.

Thanks again to Dawn and Ed of Exotic Blanks! Your generosity in donating to our meeting was greatly appreciated. Everyone got 2 nice blanks from Exotics and a few had some private reserve cartridges.

Charlie (Newlondon88) sent some pen stands that were also given out to some members. Sorry I didnt get a picture of the stands. They were still wrapped up with the protective coating.

Ken from Kallenshaan woods sent a lazer kit for each of us. Thanks very much they were all fabulous kits. I have yet to do one so I am looking forward to doing one.

Eugene (El Monstro) sent some blanks. Thanks Eugene they were fantabulous.

Hopefully you all had as good a time at the meeting as I did. With the direction we seem to be heading, it wont be so long before the next one.

Man why couldnt you do a little photo shop work and hide my bald spot????????
Seriously had a blast it was a lot of fun and did learn a few things !!!!!!

And we want to thank you James for stepping up and ~VOLUNTEERING~ to be our "vendor liaison". You have set the bar high my friend!

Tom
