Santa brought a book on Christmas ornaments aka birdhouses by Dale Nish. Some of them use segmented bodies. Need to browse this section and do some time on YouTube. Remember, one good turn deserves another.

Love making them. Have to revisit those at some time.

Anybody here know of a book or something that deals with inside/out ornaments. I tried to make one but it was a disaster to say the least.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Cody Walker wrote a tutorial on these. It's not in the IAP Library, but it is in an old thread archive and it's also in the iOS version of the Bushings&Tubes app.

Happy new year Tom

Margaret. Garrard over here is a great expert and a friend of mine so if you're stuck let me know the issues and I will ask her advice. It's critical you use paper joints and let them dry properly before turning. A piece of play on the ends perfectly centred helps too as then there is no pressure from the centres to spoilt the joints. I use steb centres carefully for driving and a revolving ring centre at the tailstock. To split the joints , an old plane blade works well . Enjoy

Here's a useful link to a guy trying it
