"In front of the light source in a photo tent, you'll typically find a translucent material like white tissue paper, tracing paper, or a similar semi-opaque material to diffuse and soften the light, creating a more even and shadow-free illumination for your product photography"

What material are you using? The one that came with my photo tent is not very good (my opinion)

When I built a small light box (16inches on all sides) i used Tissue Paper that I got either at Staples or Target. It worked really well. The sides and top of my box were frames and the tissue paper made up the walls.
I'm not a professional but it worked for me.

Wife made diffusers from a type of cloth, like cheesecloth.

The cloth I have might be ok... I think the problem are the sides of tent. They are reflective...almost like aluminum foil. I will darken them.
