I definitely agree. We've had to swear off a number of dealerships before we found some that we feel comfortable allowing them to work on our cars.
 
I brought my car in today and they did a warranty work. I am in and out in less than 45 minutes. Hope they used the right product and did a good job this time.

I believe having the code reader helped me a lot and will probably continue to for some time in the future. Being "empowered" and having the PEACE OF MIND knowing your mechanic is not taking advantage of you is also a huge bonus.
