'Frankie', my cobbled together machine to make my trim rings and slotted blanks needs a new home. - He is FREE! But you need to come and get him (Medina, Ohio). One other possibility is that I intend to go to the MPG in Chicago this spring and could bring it there. I will also walk anyone through how I used it.
A 1950's Atlas metal lathe. The motor was discarded many years ago. A heavy duty 360 indexing plate is welded to the headstock. There is an obvious learning curve, but the results in my opinion are worth the effort.
(I am in the process of closing my shop. All tools, woodturning materials, will be distributed to family and friends, donated, or sold. I have thoroughly enjoyed my woodturning adventures, but this chapter is now closed. Other than not being able to post new turnings on IAP, I shall remain an active member).
