Thanks very much for the S Africa clue Chris . I made a pen from it for my S African doctor a year ago , but it was not as nice a specimen as the photo . Can`t remember who I got the wood from . Someone here through it in with something else I bought .

Most common name for Ozoroa paniculasa is Common Resin Tree. Couldn't find any other article calling it raisinberry.

Where did you find a cross reference between common and botanical names , Sharon ? The only picture and description I`ve found is this one Ozoroa paniculosa , but the site index doesn`t give common names .
