Got my blanks cast and cleaned up today. hope who ever comes after me likes them. Now if I can only be fast enough to say "ME ME ME ME" when my name is chosen......

Ok,im having a difficult time trying to put blanks back in. I wasn't a big fan of the box being inside the flat rate envelope, so,I am gonna start a new box that can be used at around the same price as the small flat rate and go from there. I really don't want to think about any of these blanks getting damaged in shipment, referring to all of them, not just mine.

I am looking at who has had a chance to draw, and all that, and have noticed a pattern starting from the 5th name draw. There is an open then 2 draws, then another open. Should I do that this turn? Or everyone except justturnin LMAO...
 
Hm, tough decision there. I'd pass and let someone else have a turn in front of me, but the Old Man is calling me...
 
Wait I have a better idea. Pick who will win between Cowboys and Skins, include the total score for the game in here. You have until 8:30 Eastern time. The ones who pick the correct team go into the tie breaker, the closest in the tie breaker gets the box. If you post the same pick and points total as someone else, the one who put it first gets the score box.
 
There are 10 allowed to "enter"
Harley2001, Brooks, truckfixr, justturnin, dakcrew, buzzzz, sumterdad, besquare, vanngo5d, and JohnU.

Healydays gets the box next, then MPMOPC, then PSNCO.

So there are roughly 13 left to receive, then me.

No healey the ones who have not been added to get it yet.

They are in it, they get to pick the winner of the game and total score (total score is tie breaker for those that picked the winner) of the Skins vs Cowboys game.

People that have received the box or are in line are not eligible either. Just those that have not been signed up to get it.

All right Harley send your information to PSNCO. Seamus should be getting the package in the mail soon, and off to Healey. Then MPMOPC, PSCNO and then Harley. I will hold off getting a new name for a few days.
 
The package has landed

I arrived home from work and there on the front step is a package from Santa Claus, I mean Seamus. He had a little tough time getting the box to fill right, so he has gone to a medium box and left me a little filler material (Thanks Seamus).

without it sounding like i am knocking anyone down, I would like to say that i was a little disappointed in the appearance of a few of the blanks in the box. Its hard to say if they were shipped out that way, but some of them looked as though they were just thrown in the box as "seconds". I think the mindset of the castaway box needs to be for everyone to contribute with castings that others might be interested in, right?! I guess what i mean more importantly, that they are usuable. We all should learn to use a little quality control, if any blanks have noticeable air pockets, cracks or voids that prevent them from being used to make a pen that looks good, then they probably should send something else in its place. I hope everyone in this go-around can take this constructively. There were some nice blanks in there, but there was also a few that should not have been sent out.

Interesting you should mention it Seamus. I was saying that to my wife. There were definitely what I thought might be seconds in the box. This is suppose to show off the best you can do, not just stuff lying around the shop that you could spare.

Ok, folks who still have to go, you are now challenged to show your best...
