Congratulations. I still get emotional thinking about when my son got to ring the bell. He's clean now for 6 years.
Thanks Steve. I think that the bell ringing ceremony is a fantastic innovation that you yanks came up with. It gives a real sense of accomplishment and is an encouragement to those still having treatment that hear it ringing out.

Congratulations! My dad got to do that after 35 rad treatments and two rounds of chemo a year ago. It's a good feeling to see
Andrew, what your Dad went through sounds like a marathon compared to my middle distance race.
I hope that he continues to improve.

Edgar, it's a day that I won't forget.
Hope that you are in good health.
Thanks, Alan. I'll never forget it either. I had Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, but after 6 weeks of radiation treatments, my PSA has been undetectable for 6 years now. It makes us realize how precious each day truly is. I wish you a long, healthy life after cancer. I look forward to your posts here on IAP.

You've been through the wars, Edgar.
My psa reading is now down to less than 1.
BTW, I still have a wee piece of Pecan and a couple of pieces of Mesquite that you had sent me a couple of years ago, as a prize I think, that I have sitting ready to do something with when I get back into the workshop.

You're right, Kevin. It's a great motivator when someone else rings it, and to keep going until it's your turn, with a sense of achievment, and the knowledge that there's no hospital session the following day.
