After a few days in the eastern Sierras I'm back at pens.

First three are Barons (curly koa, black box burl and diagonal zebra wood.

The last three are diamond knurl rollers (Bethlehem olive wood, red amboyna burl and lamtoro burl). The amboyna and and lamtoro were sourced directly from Indonesia!)

Convict lake and a full five fish stringer of rainbow trout.

Beautiful as always! That diagonal zebra really looks amazing. That open grain really gives it a unique look in the long run...

Beautiful trout, too! Water looks amazing...cold, but the clarity is beautiful.

Nice pens. As for the trout, my complements on a good day. A friend gave me a recipe for stuffing trout with a cream cheese filling. Don't remember the recipe. Duh!

Very Cool - Gorgeous Pens and envy. I remember when I used to go to the Black Hills in early June to fish for trout in the streams. Never really caught much in them, but then in the evening rented a boat and went out onto the Pactola Reservoir and would limit out. It looks like you had a really fun time. - Dave
