I'm torn between the egg and black and red hat as my favorite. I'll be at MATE in a couple weeks so I might stock up on some more hardware while the vendors are there and no shipping charges.

I like them all, but the Top-Hat really steals the show.

It reminds me of a friend of mine once that was reading the title block for a drawing of a kind of bobbin.
He said, toe phat (toe fat), what the $$&#! is toe phat?
He just couldn't see that there was a little more space between TOP and HAT - i.e. TOPHAT!
He had a real duh! moment, when we told him it was TOP HAT.

Dave

PS My wife had one of those moments once too when we were driving past a Belt One sign. You know, the hearing aid people --- Beltone.

Each is as nice as the other...but you know where my heart is. You inspire me to stay with this theme. A tip of the hat to you sir👍

Very nice. Mind if I ask what finish you use?
Thanks!

The short answer: Doctor's Woodshop Pens Plus

The longer answer:

- Sanded through the grits 120 - 600
- Clean with isopropyl alcohol (don't have denatured or the medical grade stuff, might try everclear at some point)
- Mylands Cellulose Sanding Sealer
- Yorkshire Grit abrasive paste
- 3-4 coats of Pens Plus allow a couple minutes to cool between coats

I really need a list of small tasks I can take care of while I'm waiting between coats but there are only so many paper towels I can cut and fold in prep for the next project :)
