I have just started making pens and use a novel way to make them. I have designed the barrel in tinkercad, printed it on my 3D printer using wood filiament, cut the Abalone that will be applied on my laser and then added the abalone. finally add resin that is photo sensitive to the barrel and sand or turn it on a Pennstateind small lathe to even out the resin then assemble as normal. Still having issues with getting it set to the level of the bushings, My brother who is also a member and sells pens at craft fairs is helping with constructive critics.

Welcome aboard!

Sounds like a fascinating process.

I'd love to see pictures of what you're doing and the finished product.
