I've posted a couple of these pens to my Instagram & Facebook feed and always had questions about the process. Since I have a YouTube channel I decided to make a video on the process. They're really simple to make once you know how!

Unfortunately, the music drowns out the voice at crucial times.

Also, cut out the bench clean-up please ...

Thank you... I found this out after I had uploaded it. The video has been updated with the audio corrected.

I appreciate your input on the bench clean up and will keep that in mind for the future - just trying to have some fun over simply standing and talking!

Good video and excellent explanation on a basic modified slimline.
I'm a strong supporter of the modified pens and a follower of Don Ward's lessons on how to"s.
Thanks for showing.

Thank you for the comment! I'll have to look up Don - is he on YouTube? I did quick search for his name but didn't find anything...

He is not on youtube. He has written a book on modified slimline pens: Turning Modified Slimlines: Beyond the Basics.

I write an article each month for More Woodturning Magazine: the Penturner's Corner. Many, if not most, are articles about modified slimline or other modified kits.

Now that you have a one piece slimline under your belt you may want to try a one piece cigar or a one piece perfect fit. Most any twist ballpoint can be made as a one piece.

I have written about a couple of improvements on the one piece slimline making it much more user friendly.

Do a good turn daily!
Don

The pens in the picture are all slimline. Let me know if you would like to see the one piece improvements.
