I just noticed you run a zoom session (monthly?), I would be interested in attending. I do not see how to join this gathering, can you advise as to the steps I need to take to join in? Thanks in advance for the information.

Thank you very much. I've not used zoom, do I need an account before I email?
 
Gregory; You need to download the Zoom client and create a userid and password to run Zoom. Zoom has several levels of increasing complexity and price, but the basic level is FREE and is all you need to get into Zoom. You should have a video (webcam), microphone, and speaker. You can do this from a Smartphone but it works a bit better from a desktop. Even at the free level you can host your own meetings.

You don't even have to create an account. Just click on the meeting link and your computer, tablet, etc... will ask if you want to download zoom. Just click yes and then you should see the box where it says Join meeting. I don't have an account and watch/participate in many zoom presentations.
 
I've downloaded and created an account. I was wondering if they need my details (account name) to be able to invite me. It seems that is not the case. I'm more than likely going to be in the meeting from my smart phone for this one.
 
You will get an email with the meeting link in it. If the email is available on your phone, just click on the link. If not, you can type the meeting id and passcode into the app and connect that way. It is helpful with a smartphone or other portable device to prop up the device against something.

I'm leaving shortly for an Open House turning session with a local woodturning club.
 
Like stated above, just click on the invite link and it will take you to the meeting where you will be asked to join with your phone audio.
