OK everyone. This is the second Kids contest.

By no means should these pens be called Kids.
Take a look, these are the next generation of pen turners.
Personally, I am very proud to be the one to display these works of art.

With three entries, all we have to do is vote.
They all are #1's in my book.
So now, we let the members decide.

Entry #1
16 yo gentelman
This is a Jr. Retro rollerball in Rhodium and Thuya burl. The finish is BLO, Triple EEE, and wax. He finishes most of his pens in CA, but has recently been using this finish as it has a nice satin look and retains the feel of the wood. The pen was done completely, from blank and kit selection and purchase through finish and assembly. He's been turning pens since the age of 11, since reading a Wood magazine article about the kid from Pens for College. Thanks for looking

My daughter chose this blank to go on a vertex. She reverse painted the blank red and completed the turning, sanding, and polishing herself. I gave her some guidance during assembly, and she did the photography work.

This is my first rollerball. It is a Cabellero wrapped in aspen burl. I finished it with 10 coats of Woodturners Finish and bufffed it on the buffing wheels to have a nice matte finish.

The pics show up on my end...
These folks sure have some terrific skills. Very hard to choose my favorite.

They will be reposted shortly. The software doesnt like it when we copy and paste the entire thread from the planning area to the open forum.. It likes to hide the pictures.

Alright........My editing is now to late. Adminstration has to be comtacted.

PLEASE hold on the Voting PLEASE. As soon as I can get ahold of someone this will be fixed.

Excellent choices for blanks, and I like the colors for the polyclay blank.

This was a tough choice. I'd write with either one.

Great job, kids.

You, too, for running the contest, Wayne.

Only three vote separate the top two pens right now. And less the 10 votes is the total point spread.
We need you VOTE. Show us which one is the winner.
