Do the youngsters have to be members of IAP? My grandson would be interested but he isn't a member. Thanks.

I think 99% of the youngsters that entered were not a member of the forum. Both of my daughters have entered in previous years (not consistently), and were not a member.

No they do not, an IAP member can sponsor any child under 13 and more than one. It could be a friend or neighbor's child. Children under 13 are not eligible for membership.

To enter your pen.

1) Click on youth13@penturners.org
2) attach up to three pictures of your pen along with a description of your entry.
ie; Type of wood or material used. Pen kit used, description of work done and finish.
3) include the child's full name and address for mailing of prizes.
4) sit back and wait for the polls to be posted. Then vote for your favorite.

ENJOY the contest.

But I have to be a member? Correct?

Woodchipper, You are making posts here in the forum. That means you are a member. Welcome to the IAP.

Children must use a members profile to submit entries to the contest. I need a way to get back to the children and be able to send out any prizes they win.

:bananen_smilies051::bananen_smilies104:We have our first two entries:bananen_smilies104::bananen_smilies051:

And they are both winners !!!!
Kids, the contest is running and we need your pens entered.

Members......we can't do it without you.
Build a memory today.

OK, thanks for the info. Thought I might have missed something along the way. Will get with my grandson and work on a pen for the contest.
Edit: Won't be able to meet the 13th deadline due to our schedules. However, I have some pens to turn and will submit photos of a couple that he has done.

One day and 7 & 1/2 hours.
That is all the time left to get the kids entries in!
Just returned home to find more entries.
This is going to be a great chance to watch
the future pen turners of the IAP.

There are even a few that I would be proud to own!
Come on Members......they can't win if you don't get them entered!

My "under 13" isn't going to make it this year. He has been busy designing and building 2 models for his Boy Scout Model Building Merit Badge.

A little more then 14 hours to get them in.

We have some great entries this year.
Fantastic looking pens.
Everyone is going to have a hard time picking just one.

Polls

Are the polls posted, I can't seem to find them anywhere. I feel like it is probably in front of my face but I can't seem to figure it out.
