After seeing several pens posted lately, I went back to review pricing and availability of buckeye burl.

I have purchased several hundred pounds in the past 6 months, much of which has not yet been cut up. So, hopefully I can help you al make pens you like as well as reducing a substantial investment!!

We have tubed and rounded many of the buckeye pieces that were under size. Tonight I reduced the price. It should not show up under sales, but you can find the Special Offer Here

Hope it will lead to many excellent buckeye burl pens!!

Thanks for reading,
Ed

Awesome, Ed! Thank you!

Are you going to be cutting up some raw (non pre-tubed) blanks at all? I have a number of rollerball and fountain pens that I'd like to make with some buckeye burl.

I have this mental image of a warehouse with neatly and densely organized racks of parts and pieces with another section containing many various large sheets of resins, acrylics and lumber. You and Dawn moving throughout like pen making elves making the magic happen.

Looking forward to the blanks going up on the site.

Hold onto that image!!!!

Doesn't look anything like reality, but sounds GREAT!!

Reality rarely does! Although your response made me laugh, out loud, hard guffaws in fact. Thanks for the smile.

Thanks for the buckeye burl too. I tried died and stabilized buckeye burl a while back and didn't like it that much. I may have to try a couple of what you posted today.

Don't let him fool you, I think it's like Christmas every time I'm there! So much to see and admire, even the stuff not listed for sale. I always feel like a kid in a candy store.
and now John, you're the second person to make me laugh out loud today! Somehow I think the reality is someplace between all three of our descriptions

John and Mark really do enjoy seeing the selection. I have been buying commercial "acrylics" from Italy since the late 1990's. So there is a pretty good size collection of "onesy-twosies" that I still have. Some are pretty unique in today's market.

One of these days I'm going to set an order for "In store pickup" and drive up there. It would be neat to see, even if for 2 minutes.

When "locals" place orders for pick-up, the first time we give them a "tour" of the place. Takes about 15 minutes.

After the first time, we are happy to have a conversation and answer any questions--very few leave in less than 10 minutes. That way, we get to know each other a little! You are always welcome!!

I knew I should have taken this afternoon off! I will look to do it sometime in the next few months for sure. Thank you for being such an open and welcoming host.
