...how events can lead to a new tool. Last Saturday, the belt on my Delta Midi broke and I told my wife that on Sunday, after church, we needed to stop at the WoodCraft store to pick up a belt and then we would go to lunch.
Went to WoodCraft, asked for the belt, and while David (salesman) was getting the belt, I began looking at the new Delta VS lathe. She asked if I needed a new lathe and my reply was, not necessarily a "need" but certaintly a "want". She, "well, do you want it?" Me, "Don't need it, but would be a nice addition to my shop". She, "Please buy the lathe so we can go to lunch, I"m hungry". David (salesman) walked up and she, "please sell him the lathe so we can go to lunch". Me, "I can't argue with her logic", and bought the lathe. She even bought lunch.
You never know....
