WW show deals?

The rumor mill says some vendors don't want to pay return freight on the big machines they bring to WW shows, so are willing to make a deal. Has anyone here gotten a deal on a lathe (or other big tool) at a show? What kind of deal? Thanks...

In Milwaukee, the "big vendors" use their dealers to get stuff to and from the show. After the show, it becomes part of the dealer inventory, at a slightly reduced price, I am told.

So, the motivation to sell is in the tens of dollars (and Yes, I did buy my Delta dust collector this way), not the hundreds.

May not be universally true tho, ask at the end of the show - all they can say is NO and you are no worse off than you were.
