Worthless wood

I started casting pen blanks today. I don't have a pressure pot but have some wood that I want to try casting in alumilite. Can this be done without pressure?

Alumilite will need to be put under pressure. Otherwise bubbles will form.

Okay, that's what I figured. I have some cut offs from a natural edge board I've had laying around for a few years I thought I would try casting but figured I needed pressure.
