The little bastards struck again. They didn't leave a crumb in that bag. The Cadbury mini eggs are going in a mason jar this time.

They have been eating the wiring in my daughters car. I've been able to fix some, but had to go to the garage for some where the wires were gone right at a connector. Dave
I've heard from repairs on my snowplow and internet that newer wiring has a soy coating that mice, etc love to eat! My Ariens snowplow had all it's wiring chewed up = machine = trash.

Right now it is a little too cold but as soon as the snow starts melting faster the dear mice will be running around looking for food so the three traps in the garage will start snapping. Hopefully the three traps in the RV trailer will be empty as long as my mouse proofing works.

Pack rats here in Santa Fe once invaded the engine compartment of my Mercedes. Hundreds of cholla cactus completely filled the area, up to the hood. (I'd been out of town for 3 weeks.) When ALL the wiring was replaced ($3500) by my mechanic, his line was - "You know, the best friend a mechanic has here in Santa Fe is a pack rat."

Someone needs a couple Catchmaster traps from Amazon. Those things work great. I should know, I've caught thousands of mice in them. I was in the pest control business for 40 years. Owning my own commercial pest control company for 20 years that I just sold.

The sticky ones? I got caught by one of those once. They leave them laying flat in a couple areas at work, and I was slipping through between a desk and the wall. It did NOT let go easily. I do know that M&Ms will make great bait.

No, it's a tin trap with a teeter on both ends. The mouse goes up the ramp and teeters down into the trap and can't get back out. You put a glueboard that comes with it inside the trap and that gets the mouse caught. Some people will not put the glueboard in the trap so they can let the mouse go free somewhere else. You wouldn't believe the conversations I've had with customers about wanting to free the mouse outside somewhere else.

Here's the link to the Amazon traps.
They carry similar ones at Home Depot and weed and feed stores. I have four out in my shop and have caught several mice. I don't put bait stations outside as I have a dog that could get into the stations.

My parents lived in a retirement community in Florida. Lady had her wiring replace twice. Dad went to a toy store and put two rubber snakes on the fender wells up front. It worked.
A guy wanted to set a mouse trap but didn't have any cheese. He got a cookbook, cut out a picture of cheese and put it in the trap. Next morning, he had a picture of a mouse in the trap.
