You got a great prize. Be warned, inlace acrylester is VERY brittle. Drill slow and clear chips often. Don't put too much force on the pen vise. DAMHIKT Use very sharp tools and take light cuts. The beauty you will get is worth the effort it takes.

Yeah, what Paul said. And, if every other IAP member who ever turned Acrylester chimed in and said the same thing, you wouldn't have heard it too many times, probably.

What a great prize! I love the acrylester stuff. If you use a sharp tool, wet sand through the Micro Mesh, and then use the Novus Plastic Polish, you will end up with a very nice finished product. Just remember to keep cleaning the "slurry" off of the blank when you work through each of the grits of Micro Mesh.

Acrylester is worth the effort. It happens to be my Daughters favorite material. Ain't I lucky ;). She is trying for a complete collection of it. Just slow way down, and keep tools sharp.

Chuckie!

When word came in that they were donating all of that as one prize, I was jealous already! Good on you!

Scott.
