Has anyone here watched Woodturning Workshop? It's a neat series on PBS that shows Tim Yoder working on the lathe...

I ask because I can no longer get it, and I really enjoyed watching it. If anyone has episodes on DVD or VHS, I'd really appreciate it if you'd let me borrow them to wach the many episodes I've missed...

I wrote to the producer asking if I could have them shipped, but apparently the cost is prohibitive to ship to Canada, so they no longer do it (and I cannot afford $25 per episode anyway)...so if anyone has a few episodes I could borrow, I'd appreciate it!

If not, make sure you tune it; it's quite entertaining!

PBS and 'Create' have dropped the show around the country. They also have dropped the Router Workshop as well. Its unfortunate, but voicing your opinion to PBS can help hopefully. I saw the show and it is great. During their fund drive, I'd call in and participate to funding if you could speak with a programming manager and voice your views to the channel. Just a thought...as thats what Im doing :)

It dropped off PBS here for awhile but it's back now. I enjoy watching him. He does things a little differently than I've seen before. I always like seeing different techniques.

I wish there were more woodworking shows on the regular channels but I guess those shows don't bring them any money. For some reason Time Warner took the DIY channel away from me last year and I haven't found any replacement channels yet.

I was just going through my channels and woodturning show just pop up. didn't know they had it, I sent them a email a couple of months ago didn't think any more about it. It is being taped as we speak comes on in a couple of hours. than there is another wood show on after that.

From my understanding the PBS Woodturning Workshop as well as the Router Workshop is broadcast at certain times of the year in certain areas of the country. While it may not be airing say in Virginia or eastern states it might be airing in the Mid-West or some other part of the country. I live in Virginia and I regularly get this programing at least 3 or 4 times of the year. When it comes on PBS I try to watch as much of it as possible. Tim Yoder does a good job of showing many methods of turning wood into projects such as pens, bottle stoppers and game calls etc. Just check your local PBS programming guide to see when it will be in your area.

I live here in Allendale Mich and I watch it every week "Woodturning Workshop". It is near the end of the season and I think it will be off the air soon. The one's that are on now I have seen before. I record them on my DVR so I can't send them. Last week was toy Tops, This week is Walnut Goblet. Just some information.

At the January meeting of our woodturner's club, we were asked to call our local PBS affiliate to get Mr. Yoder's show back on. I know I called, and I'm sure many others did too, so I'll wait to see if they get with it. I've never seen it, but am looking forward to it.
