Woodpeckers Carbide Pen Mill Set $100 includes US Priority shipping in U.S. Just got back into pen turning after a 10 year hiatus. Bought this set from Woodpeckers about 6 months ago. I used it on a couple of batches of Coyote and Sierra pens. For me, it was just a little too aggressive even at very slow speeds on the drill press. I am back to using a sanding sled with a sanding disc.

Sorry to hear you had bad experiences with this set. I've got the same set and use it frequently with much success. The only time I don't use it is when I have embedded items within the casting, as it does get a bit grabby. With mixed material blanks I sand the ends square on the lathe. Your offer sounds like a good deal. Best of luck selling it!

I had it catch on a couple of Trustone blanks. Probably my fault as I was too lazy to move the belts on my drill press. Worked much better when I did. I just prefer to use the sanding sled. I feel like I have better control. Barely use the drill press any more since I drill my blanks on the lathe now.

I have the Axminster version, and found it unusable in a pillar drill or hand drill, but when used in a lathe it turned out to be a dream to use, must be down to the more controllable feed rate.
