Do the brick and mortar stores typically have a good supply of extra brass tubes in stock? Going to be doing some casting this weekend, and have a store 45 minutes away (Leesburg VA). May run over and get some more.

"Let your fingers do the walking!!!!"

Call them---each WoodCraft is independently owned, every owner makes his own "inventory decisions".

Therefore, there is NO 'typically".

FWIW,
Ed

The one by Mpls/StPaul had plenty of spare tubes last time I was there. They even had white/black/steel colored ones for the more popular kits like Sierra and Slimline.

Mike:
It has been my experience that our Woodcraft store has plenty of 7mm tubes in stock, but not too many others. They USED to have a reasonable supply of Sierra tubes, but not lately. My suggestion would be to retrieve the part numbers from the Woodcraft website and call the store for availability before going.

Another suggestion would be to check with Arizona Silohuette or Beartooth Woods. My experience with both of those companies is that anytime I order before 3:00 pm, their time lands the order on my doorstep Saturday morning.

Respectfully submitted.

emailed them.

This wouldn't be an issue is I had just gone ahead and ordered some last week like I did everything else. Now I'm down to about 10 sets of tubes and more ideas than I know what to do with.

Ed, tell Dawn to check her email.

I believe what she has been doing for several hours (yesterday and today) now is ordering (including tubes) from suppliers. We will get them in time for the Fall shows, if all goes well.

I handled pen blanks----boy will we have blanks in September!!!

Just the other day I stopped by the local Woodcraft store and bought 30 extra tubes. I was lucky. I would call first to make sure they have what you won't.
