A co-worker of mine which is another Med-tech told me he went by the place where Jesse James used to live. They have a historical marker in front of the property. I had no idea Jesse James lived in TN much less 15mi from my house. He had cahaged his name to Mr. Thomas Howard and had rented this house from Mr. Link. There are 2 small graves still there that were hand carved by Jesse believed to be his twin sons. Those bodies were exsumed about 5-6 years ago and taken to Missouri to their cemetery.
So I had Steve to stop by and see if he could get me a piece of wood from the old house and he did. The house burnt some time ago the only thing left is a few timbers from the foundation and limestone. The piece of wood he got for me is about 2 feet long 5 inches wide. I will take pics tomorrow of the site and hopfully get permission to scout out the property. The owners are patients of ours.

Here is an excerpt I found on the net.

In August 1877, Jesse and his family were living in Waverly, Tennessee under the name of Thomas Howard. Frank and Anna arrived in Nashville using the names of B.J. and Fannie Woodson. In February of 1878, Zee gave birth to twins, Gould and Montgomery and Anna gave birth to a son, Robert Franklin James. The twins died soon after birth and Jesse was devastated. He and Zee soon moved to Nashville. After contacting malaria, Jesse and Zee moved in with Frank and Anna in 1879. A daughter, Mary Susan James, was born in Nashville to Jesse and Zee on July 17, 1879. Frank and Jesse were trying to settle down to married life and raising their families and their robbery escapades became less frequent.
