wood type

Hi all this is a small peice of wood that I got in a grab bag deal at woodcraft, My question is what is it, The lighter part is a light tan and the strips are purple, I turned part of the wood and when it gets hot the strips have a deep purple sap type liquid that seeps out. I think might be Kingwood ?

Zebra wood, or maybe black/white ebony? Does it smell funny when you cut it? If so, it is zebra.

Sine you said that the lighter wood is more tan in color that makes me think of bocote.

If it smells like lemon citrus when you sand/cut/turn it, it very well be becote.
