Since others have had good luck getting their unknown wood id'ed I thought I would see if anyone can tell me what I have. My cousin gave me two pieces of this. It is hard with some curl to it. And yes I know it is FIG:rolleyes:
TIA

It seems awful hard for cherry (most of my cherry I can indent with my fingernail) but majority rules. I will cut some up and see if it has the cherry smell. Thanks.

FYI, I have some kiln dried cherry that will compete with desert ironwood hardness wise. It was done wrong I guess and got tempered (just like steel).

I've got some Cherry that at a minimum I would call hard, more likey I would say "Rock hard". Ronald, I sent of this to you. Care to chime in on the subject?
