I have two different wood types I need help identifying.

1. I have had a customer send wood from Wisconsin here is a branch sent along with two blanks I cut from it which show spalting. I cut a couple sections from it and it has spalting in it which's makes identifying difficult.

2. Wood from Tennessee another customer sent. The three images of the tree and then the whitish blanks I cut from it.

Any help is appreciated!

Next time, if you can, get a close shot of the leaves ( individual leaf shape). That is the best identifier.

I want to say that it is a hard wood and a rough guess is Elm, but it would take viewing the leaf to tell. That limb has been dead for a year or two and has not only become spalted but it has turned punky (soft/decaying) in places. The last photo does show some recognizable grain though. Maybe someone else can give a better guess.
