I found this piece of wood that was made in the form of a walking stick but was painted with some kind of red paint that I've been trying to strip,anyone know what it might be? please don't tell that you saw on on the road show that sold for a million with the red paint on it

What you have there is diamond willow. It grows in the northern U.S. and up farther. Google this and read up on it.
