Went out to my mesquite pile this morning to cut up some for BBQ this afternoon. Picked up one piece and thought I'd cut it for a turning block. After cutting off one end and one side, I notice it was spalted. So instead of making a turning block, I cut it up and got 5 pen blanks and about 5 or 6 half blanks.

Jason - If I had more that 5 pieces I sell some. If I run arcoss some more, I'll let you know.

Shannon - The BBQ was dinner tonight. Smoked a pork roast. Sure was good. YUM YUM [:D][:D][:D]

Sheesh, you find stuff in the wood pile, that I have to beg borrow and steal for. Sometimes it doesn't pay to live in the pacific northwest. [:D]

Steve - You have a much better time finding stuff in the PNW than I do down here south of Houston. My unlimited supply is oak, ash, bamboo, chinese tallow and pine. The mesquite I buy is for BBQ wood and I just hate to use it for that. This was just a lucky find.

Cool Monty, very pretty wood. LOML and I pulled a piece of firewood out and looked it over. Really, really curly something, LOL! We kept it too, I love surprises[:D]
