sad state of affairs this morning.:( The evergreen shrub on the right is only 3' high... 5.5' high with the snow on it. Just above the shrub there is a 12" drift hanging off the roof. And we have a foot of snow standing on the back porch.

And it's STILL snowing!!!!![xx(]

So your the one to blame----you left the door open and about 6 inchs of that stuff is now in our front yard----please shut the door----we are wanting to do some spring time fishing.

They say that for the last 100 years the Earth has warmed by one degree. This last year, the average temperature for the Earth has dropped one degree. So, everything the earth had gained over the last 100 it gave up this last year. I know one year does not make a trend, but it sure has been cold.[:0]

In Connecticut it's 39 and raining like crazy.

Since the first of the year my area has had more that 6.5 inches of rain. I heard the weatherman say the other day that had it all been snow it would have been 8 feet!

Sorry Billy, but this is one time I have to say, better you than me. ;)

Don't fret. In a couple of weeks (followed by 8 months), you will be glad you are there and not Texas. ;)[}:)]

Geeeze, Billy!!!

You get a DUSTING of snow and ya start yur bitchin!!!!

Hope you don't get a REAL SNOWFALL!!! If you lose the cows, there's something to complain about. The PIGS disappear regularly - no sweat, keeps the cost of pork down.

Dario, I'd gladly trade the Texas heat for this crap. I do not like cold at all, and I HATE snow.

I'm with you Billy. I spent three shifts of shovelling today to get to the point where it didn't kill my snowthrower! Everytime I thought about going in and saying the heck with it, I remembered my family on the Wisconsin/Iowa border and remembered that they routinely do this.

The big pain was that the snow angle played with the track of my sliding back door and I ended up taking the whole thing off and putting it in the kitchen for my wife to tighten the track stop strip while I cleaned the track. In the middle of the operation I had this weird thought that something would go wrong and I wouldn't be able to put the back door back on. Luckily it didn't happen and I'm sore but warm with another 2" to get off the sidewalk and driveway. The snowthrower WILL handle that!!![:p]

Man I wish I had a snowblower. It took me an hour just to shovel to my mailbox and car. Anyone in Ohio wanna sell me a snowblower cheap for next season lol.

Some nice folks across the street just came over with their snowthrower so we have the drive cleared. LOML and I got it almost 1/2 finished by shovel first, but that's okay. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go thaw out... and drink som e hot cocoa.[8D]
