Gents...and the rest...I tried my hand at wire mesh...the stuff used for plumbing...I used epoxy to glue to the tube and stabalize the mesh on the ends...looked good...but....when I turned the epoxy that was thicker than the PR...came through cloudy....the larger one...I left the tube brass...the thin ones I painted silver..so it is the light that brings out the gold...the thin ones are post epoxy...before PR and a mold.

Question is...how do I address the cloudy...less epoxy? use only epoxy......or use PR instead of epoxy?

The jig worked on carbon fiber...real well...but I am about to pull the ends...put in a mold and use nothing but PR...ideas...

Im no pro at this type of prep work, however, i would think that using epoxy as opposed to Med CA would leave more trapped air. Try the CA and see how that works, just be sure to let it outgas long enough before casting

I agree that you chouldn't need to glue this material down at all. It will become embedded in the PR and needs not be physically connected to the tube.

Now tell us more about the jig that you are using.

Just tell your customers that it is not cloudy, it has a mat finish.

I would like to hear about the jig as well.
