WIP-Hills Weeping Fig. Especially for The Penguin

Thought I would post these two semi turned bowls as a W I P.

My mate, The Penguin, is fascinated with this timber, so he can now see how the bowls progress. I picked the wood log from the dump the other day. I still need to repair the cracks etc.

I really like the distinctive grain pattern in this timber.

Finished at last

I just love the grain in this timber.

Finally got them finished this afternoon, I'm not really happy with the finish, but **** happens.
First one is 5in x 2 1/4in and 2nd one is 6in x 2 1/2in.
I found the log on the dump so there has been no cost outlay.:biggrin:
Finished with Shellawax Glow.

Great find of the beautiful timber and greater on turning it to beautiful bowls. The finish really sets them off and great salvage as well.
