WIP - Emperor Watch Parts

Created the blanks (first photo) at MOVPTG last month under Ernie Boraga's tutelage. Cast them last night using Alumilite Clear. Could not get the pressure pot up to normal pressure (50 PSI); would only get to ~20 PSI. Let is cook for 5 hours +. When I took the blanks out of the pot they seemed to be OK (second photo). Will know for sure when I turn them once the hardware (from Turner's Warehouse) arrives. Film at eleven.

If it's given lots of time to set up, it should be fine to turn. I don't know why or how, but I get them like yours is every so often. I was going to trash them, and a buddy convinced me to give them more time to set-up. So, I sat them out of the way for about a week or so, and then tried turning one. I'm glad he convinced me to keep them for a while, they all made beautiful pens.
