My wife and I went for a drive last Sunday and ended up in a store (Old Town Mill Store I think) in Wimberley TX. They had several pens for sale. 3 appeared to be made from Magma Red Original Cactus Blanks. Who ever made them (my guess is someone from this site) did a great job on the pens!!!

Yeah, Alex, it looks like I am being sniped in more that one area! You know what I mean, too!!!! (a little inside thing here!)

Just for the record, I do not want or intend to sell pens in local shops so whomever is selling them I wish you the best of luck and if I can do anything to help with your sales, just let me know!

Roy - the nice ones were Jr. Statesman and were $125. I noticed because I have a Red Magma Cactus blank and a Jr. Statesman that I am going to make for my Daughter's Graduation in April.

Curtis - I was not trying to stir up trouble. I was impressed with the pens and thought it might be your work, thats all.

Well, curiosity killed the cat! I just started a new custom home in Wimberly so on my way out there today, I decided to stop by the Old Town Mill Store and see these pens for myself. Man, there was a nice display and assortment of pens! There were a number of pens made from my "Original Cactus Blanks"™ as well as "Texas Collection Worthless Wood"™ blanks. There were also some made with various other blanks. The fit was nice and they had a good finish. I got to talking with the lady that was workign there and found out that they were made by one of our members, Richard Wallace, aka Richwall! Richard has been to my shop a couple of different times. Anyway, mystery solved!

I actually called Richard today and told him about this discovery. Good job, Richard!
