why was my computer smoking?

Had a great weekend, got to spend a couple of sessions in the shop, tried out a new material, (TruStone, beautiful!) which made me think I needed some supplies.... Turns out the smoke was actually coming from my PAYPAL account[:0][xx(][B)]! Thanks to Aaron(Kalai), Ed, Richard (R&B) and Tim&Tracy (Wood n whimsies) for great service over the weekend

Are you familiar with the "Smoke Theory" of electronics?

The Smoke Theory states that computers (and other electronics) function because the chips are manufactured with smoke inside. If the smoke ever escapes, they stop working.

I was tuned into http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/ listening to some Dead.
Had to leave the room for a minute to check something.
When I got back, not only was my computer smokin', there was watermelon rind laying near the monitor and it smelled oddly like Vodka. What a long, strange trip it's been. [}]
