Who knows about Dichroic glass pen blanks

I was fortunate enough to pick up some vintage blanks over the last few weeks and one of the blank sets is listed as Dichro glass. I believe that Exotic Blanks sold these back in the day. Does anyone remember much about this type of blank?

I wonder if they use the glad filler used in some engineering plastics. Like glass-filled nylon?
