at the club meeting last night, our resident "pen kid" mentioned that he only does four kinds, because that's all he has bushings for so far. I've got a few, but only:
Cigar
Euro
Slim
Atlas

Do y'all find that you do the full range (if you've been at it for awhile) or do you stick with a few styles because that's just what you like?

also, I'm interested in trying a capped pen, but many seem expensive wondering which kit would be a good starting point to get into the world of capped pens.

So far, I've done: slimline, Sierra, Atlas, Polaris, Wall Street, cigar, Jr. Gent, Baron, Jr. Statesman, Havana, Gent, Statesman, and Emperor. I have some other kits at home to try, if I ever have free time...

The Baron and Jr. Gent pens are good choices for starters as capped pens go. Chrome Barons look great, aren't too expensive, and the finish is pretty durable.

My main stay of pens are:
Statesman
Baron
Churchill
Cigars.
Emperor - Only on special request.
Majestic - Again on special request.

My collection of bushings must range in the 40-50 different kits. These do include key chains, letter openers and other craft items. But like others I have favorites I do a lot of, some I seldom do and others I haven't touched in many months.Favorites are the mostly higher end kits with best finishes like TG.

Hhhmmmm, Let's see......
Slimline (everyone starts there, right?)
Cigar
Sierra
Baron
Round Top Euro
Gentleman
Jr. Gentleman
Jr. Statesman
Emporer
Euro
Bullet Pen
Teachers Pen
Lanyard Pen
Lipstick Pen
Purfume Pen

I'm sure there's a couple I missed..... [:I]

Baron, Churchill, Gent, Statesman, Jr. Gent, Jr. Statesman, Streamline El Grande, El Toro, El Presidente, Havana bp, 8mm Euro bp, Sierra, slimline, Olympia, Jr. Emperor, Sketch Pencil, Perfect Fit, casing using slimline and Perfect Fit, Cigar. I have bushings for the Streamline Flattop American, Filigree FT American, Elegant American, CSUSA's Americana RB/FP, but I don't make any of those anymore. My best sellers last year were Baron, Cigar, Olympia and casing pens.

WOW I have just gotten started and have only done slimline. After looking at the lists that others have under their portfolio I am really behind the Qball here. Looks like I need to buy some other kits and try them.
