Last report I had before losing satellite was some northern sections of OKC over 10 inches of rain so far today. Here in Shawnee my rain gage overflowed at 5 inches and it's been pouring down for the last hour. My garage is flooded and need waders to get to the shop. The record for the whole month of June in OKC is 6.75 inches, looks like just todays rain will blow that out of the .......gulp...water. Oh well guess I'll just wade it out.

Sorry to hear about the water, I been there in my basement, twice---not fun.

GOOD LUCK, hope it stops soon--at least if the power stays on, your pumps can work!!

I always set up my generator while the power is still ON, that way I'm ready if things get WORSE---yeah, not very optimistic!!

Roy , it could be worse ..... you could be at a show :rain::umbrella::rain:
That was 2 weeks ago, last day rained out:mad:
I hope that all your mahinery and things will be ok
Luckly my shop is raised off the ground:biggrin:

Rain just let up enough to mop up...yea!!!!!:biggrin:

Rain:umbrella: let up enough for us to vacume most of the garage up, leaving just a couple of puddles, when out to the shop to check , dry as a bone....took 30 minutes and turned a couple of pens:biggrin::rolleyes::wink:...

Great to hear that you and the house are ok Roy. I saw on the news yesterday the floating cars in Oklahoma City and was thinking about you, hoping you weren't spinning pens while rafting on the way to the Gulf!

I won't pretend I know how any of the great people of Oklahoma feel, but I certainly have an appreciation on what they are going through. Nashville got wiped out a couple of weeks ago and we are still feeling that pain. So many people were affected by either losing their life, their home, their jobs. It has truly turned us upside down.
God Bless you all.

My sister lives in Norman, OK and her son works for the National Weather Service there so I get first hand weather reports. It seems like you guys get a lot of nasty stuff. It wasn't long ago that you had tennis ball sized hail and tornadoes. I worked on temproary assignment in Ada, OK hiring and training drivers, and all I remember is dust, wind and high temperatures, some rain would have been a blessing.

Glad to hear that your shop survived unscathed.

Yeah, There is a good reason the NWS operates so heavily in Oklahoma! In fact, If i am not mistaken, All of the Nations storm warnings come from Norman.

Luckily for me, I live on top of a hill so rain is rarely an issue. I do however, live in the "Anadarko Basin" which seems to be a very popular place for Twisters to start.
