What wood is TC?

Please help me ID this wood. I got it from someone here a while back. I wrote the letter T on it as that was the person's first initial, but I can't remember who.:redface: I have had stuff from Timberbits before, but I'm not sure that it was him. Mr T had wrote 'TC' on the blanks in black marker pen.

looks like some sort of burl sapwood, maybe ambonya?

It is genuine Dunno wood.
I'm leaning towards the Ambonya burl also. But hard to tell from the pic.

Much easier to ID when it isn`t a burl . Send your unknowns to me , and I will replace them 2:1 with something that has a positive ID .

Just posted the answer as a comment on the pens you made from this wood. Corrugata or Ribbed Fruited Mallee. T is for tight because of the tightness of the grain in the burl.
