LOML and I are leaning towards me making a career change and that will mean we will have to move south. We are still praying for guidance before it is too late.

If we do move...what will I do with all my wood??????????? :D[}:)]

I think I better start thinning the heard now. ;)

James,

I will let you know if we have some we can't take. I doubt it will be worth the trip though...unless some of your men are passing by ;)

The sad part...I just hauled majority of it last year from there!!! [:(!] Now they might have to go back home.

South of Texas? You're moving to Mexico? Well, before you go, I'll be happy to take some of it off your hands. I have a Honda Pilot, and PLENTY of old paper boxes - I'd be happy to pay you a visit over a long weekend and ease your burden! [:D]

What about your Powermatic. I don't think you can take it south of SA....but north will work. Better check the the S. Texas lathe laws. good luck in edinburg (I think that is where you mentioned.)
do a good turn daily!

Since all the wood is spoken for by your friends [:)] I will add my thoughts on your career change since I didn't on the other thread. From my own experience in trying to determine God's will as I faced decisions about moving to different places of service, I always came to a sense of peace about each one. In the times I didn't get a sense of peace, I didn't move. My experience is that God will use many things to give you affirmation that your decision is in line with his will. Sometimes it is the help of others, or a random experience, or confirmation from His Word as you read. But regardless of the method, it always was accompanied by a sense of peace that it was right. So, my prayer for you is that God would give you His affirmation of peace as you make your decision.

Well, Dario .... unlike "others" in IAP, I'm not one to try to take advantage of your situation by begging for your wood. No, I'm way above all of that! [;)]
I suggest that you and your wife do a little of what I call "Goal Planning". Get out a legal sheet of paper and divide it into two columns. Write the word "Advantages" at the top of one column and "Disadvantages" above the other. Then, start listing. By the time you finish the list, you'll arrive at a soundly thought out decision. [:)]

If you decide to move, you'll probably want to make a clean start ,,,,everything new! I think you get my drift. I'll send for that Beall collet chuck, McNaughton coring system, and the Hollowing tool with captive ring and laser that your wifey got you for Christmas.

Dario, I have a offer for you. I will do all your moving for you. No charge. When you get to the new location, don't worry if you find some things missing. I'm sure they will turn up at some point.[:p]

Don't worry about what to do with all the wood. God has taken care of that by giving you good friends who will gladly recieve it. [:D] [;)]

Dario, I know the feeling of being called into ministry after a career has started. Excitement, wonderment and lots of questions by relatives and friends. God Bless your hearing His call.

LOL...you guys crack me up! Very predictable and took the bait...as expected. [}:)]

Thanks for the well wishes and most likely a final decision will be made in a month. The move (if ever) will be to Edinburg, TX USA. Yes folks, still USA though we will be only 15 miles or so to the Mexico border.

Good advise as always. Thank you.

Billy and Monty,

I will keep you both in mind. I'll even send pics of what will be left so you can decide if it is worth it or not.

I know Ben will get some for sure.

Excellent advice!
Also, say some prayers and go with your gut feeling. When I am faced with a decision of this kind and I get a tight and lumpy feeling in my stomach and go against that feeling, it's usually turns out to be the wrong decision.
Good Luck!
