What type of adhesive to glue dried flowers to brass tubes

I am getting ready to make a Botanical Pen and want to attach some dried flowers to the tube before casting. I know CA is a poor choice because it crystallizes under pressure. Does anyone out there have a recommendation for an effective adhesive?

Without having anymore knowledge other than dried flowers are fragile, I found this article on gluing dried flowers.
Three options craft glue, Hot Glue and Floral adhesive. Of those three I would think Hot Glue might stand up to pressure since, in my expereince, doesn't really get hard. My initial response was to try something like Hodge Podge.
It's a start I guess.
