I just bought one of the pendant backers sold here and it is great. It has about a 2 inch diameter and I want to use some kind of disposable "mold" to pour a 2 inch by 1/2 inch thick PR necklace blank. Any ideas?

Why not take some scrap wood and turn out the diameter and depth you want (plus a little). THen when you take the PR out, you can turn it do the diameter and thickness you desire.

Not really a disposable mold idea, but what about PVC pipe end caps.

A 2" pipe end cap would be approximately 2.5" diameter. You could pour as thick as you like.

OR... Get yourself a silicone muffin pan. The flimsy soft type. Cut the muffin cups loose from one another. Now you have 6 RE-USABLE Five ounce mixing cups that double as pendant molds! You can even do one mix, and then leave a little bit in the bottom of the cup until next time you pour. Then pour a different color, and leave a little bit in the bottom again. Now you have created a pendant blank that is different colors on each side.

GREAT IDEA, especially since I bought one off the TV for SWMBO kitchen. She says it's junk, so I can nick it for FREE! Thanks Ron!

The the other posts are good workable ideas also, I just like the thought of "stealing back" from Momma.

Someday, I am going to take a day off, go to Oklahoma and just follow Ron around for a day. I bet that will be more fun than Disney World! This guy didn't even get the memo about a "box"!

C'MON Down!!!! It would be fun! We could make a pen or two, go catch a few white bass, drink a beer or two, and have a BBQ!

P.S. What is this box you speak of?

Exactly my hobbies! Except in Georgia, we BBQ pork -- but TX/OK beef is good, too.

TOO funny about the box!

You can always make one out of silicone like I did.....It works great and you don't have to worry about it not coming out of the PVC piping. I have experience with that issue.......
